Today you will start typing your resumes.  I have placed a packet with sample resumes at each desk that also include a Reference sheet.  You can use the format of one of these samples or you can look at some samples that Google Docs has or you can open Microsoft Word and type in Resume in the search bar and it will bring up many samples as well.  If you choose to use microsoft word for yours you will have to save the file to the computer or a flash drive and then upload the file into your drive.  To do that simply open your drive and right click in a blank space and choose upload file and go to where you saved it and select it to upload.

Remember you want your resume to have style but not for it to be cute.  Play around with fonts and sizes that you like and different style bullets.  Make your resume sharp.  Remember not to use the word "I".  You will probably want to edit some of your responses from your workbook to include those action verbs that are listed before step five (one liners).  Remember to include clubs, activites, etc... that you have been involved in, whether it is in school or out of school (such as 4H, church activites, etc...).

You will also need to think of 3 people that you could use as a reference for you.  We will create a reference page to attached to our resumes.  These references need to be people that would tell your future employer what a great person you are and that they should hire you.  Examples would be Teachers, someone you have worked for before, Principals, Preachers, etc.....not your parents or other kin.  You will need to be able to get there address, phone number, email address etc...
